One of the longest-running cast member in the history of Saturday Night Live, easygoing funnyman Tim Meadows crafted some of the series’ most enduring characters in his nine-year stint on the popular late-night comedy staple. Meadows was best known as self-proclaimed Ladies’ Man Leon Phelps and as early morning talk show host Lionel Osborne, as well as uncanny impressions of OJ Simpson, Ike Turner and Sammy Davis Jr.

Meadows began performing improvisational comedy at the Soup Kitchen Saloon. Meadows’ start in show business was as a member of The Second City comedy troupe alongside future star Chris Farley. In 1991, Meadows landed a spot on Saturday Night Live and would go on to become a longtime cast member, appearing on the program until 2000. Tim has appeared in feature films, including The Ladies man, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, and The Benchwarmers. He is also a frequent guest on the Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson as a comic field reporter, and has appeared in numerous shorts on funny or die.com
